Flutterby Butterfly

Thursday, 1 July 2010

Hey gorgeous girlies! I hope everyone is having a brill Thursday (soon be the weekend - yay!) and enjoying the sunshine - I honestly can't believe how gorgeous it's been recently. Thumbs up for hot weather!

Today I thought I'd show you some goooooooooooorgeous pieces that my sister makes. She's recently set up her own business selling these goodies and I thought you all should take a look - if you're anything like me and love all things sparkly, butterfly-esque and unique, you will LOVE these.

They are hand made, embellished and crystal-encrusted treasures which can be worn as either a hair piece or a brooch. I've got myself one of each - I just love them so much and I've never seen anything like them before. She makes butterflies (which are my faves), dragonflies and flowers, some of which come adorned with Swarovski crystals, others with sequins and beads. The great thing is you can custom order them to be exactly as you want - choosing the colour, what embellishments you would like etc. - making your piece absolutely unique.

Here's a picture of me posing rather cheesily with my butterfly hair piece, along with some other close-ups.

I know recently big flowers and butterflies as hair pieces have come hugely into fashion - but I tend to find the majority on the market all look, well, pretty much the same. That's why I love these so much - they are just something completely different.

Here's a picture of my brooch butterfly - I love how shiny the material is!

Finally I'll leave you with some pics of just a few of the beauties you can buy (but you can also custom order as I said earlier!)

They each come packaged in a cute little box, so would make gorgeous gifts! Also - there are lots of silver/gold butterflies/flowers available (or like I say you can make custom orders) which would look gorgeous as hair pieces and accessories for weddings!

What do you think to these beauties? I absolutely love them and wish I could have one in every colour! They cost £19.99 each and are available to buy on my sister's website; Lucymaydesigns.co.uk

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think to them!
