Dragon Egg Bath Ballistic Review

Thursday, 7 October 2010

I thought I would do a quick Lush bath bomb review today, as I've never done one before and also want to talk about the exciting Christmas products Lush has in store for us this year!

First up, the bath ballistic. I love Lush products - everything about that shop makes me want to purchase every single thing in there. Bath ballistics are no exception - I love eagerly anticipating what kind of a rainbow of colours they will fizz in my bath with. The only thing I dislike about bath bombs is that they don't really do much on the bubble front, which is always a little disappointing. Anyway, onto the bath bomb in question.

A while ago Lush launched a few new bath ballistics, for example, Mrs Whippy (which is another fab bath bomb) and the Dragon Egg. I just HAD to purchase both, but must admit I was more excited about the Dragon Egg (I have a thing for dragons and anything remotely fantasy - as geeky as that sounds!)

I love this bath bomb. Lush describes it as 'a cracking sherbert-scented fireball' which I think sums it up perfectly. It contains lemon, bergamot, and fab popping candy to give it that amazing fizzing effect. The ballistic literally cracks open, rather like a 'dragon egg' and you find yourself bathing in a beautiful swirling tongue of fiery orange. It also contains fine gold glitter, which came as a very pleasant surprise. I just love how Lush describes the bathing experience on their website;

'As you bathe in the whirlpool of vibrant, fiery colour and inhale the refreshing sherbet scent of lemon and bergamot, you'll feel like you're up and away on the back of your own dragon. Popping candy pops around you, glitter swirls in shimmering circles and your bath becomes the birthing ground of a baby dragon. Well, in a way.'

I am definitely very impressed with this bath ballistic - another big thumbs up for Lush!

This month Lush has also welcomed back it's fab Christmas collection. I think Christmas is one of the times that Lush can really show off how brilliant they are at creating original and fantastic products. I have to say I am a massive fan of their Snow Fairy range, and am so pleased to see it back again this year. Along with other previous products, such as Satsumo Santa and Cinders bath ballistics, Lush have also brought out several new and exciting products just for the festive season. I am hoping to do a few reviews on some of these before the festive season kicks in, but I will leave you with a list of a few I have had my eye on; Snow Globe soap, Gingerbread House bubble bar, Angels Delight soap, Snow Fairy lip tint and (finally) Sugar Plum Fairy sugar scrub.

What Lush goodies have you had your eye on recently? Are you excited about the Christmas range being back?
