Barry M Instant Nail Effects!!

Oh my god. WHY has this stuff not been invented before? It is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

What is? I hear you ask. Barry M Instant Nail Effects, that's what. I discovered this little baby the other day when the lovely beautyandtheblog tweeted about it, and am I so incredibly glad I did. I have always craved the gorgeous coveted Minx nail. Seen on celebs such as Lady Gaga and Katy Perry to name a few, Minx nails are (to put it simply) basically stickers for your nails. There are hundreds of amazing designs, but they don't come cheap! Therefore I am sorry to say I have never been lucky enough to have them.

HOWEVER. Barry M has come to the rescue once again with a frankly fabulous little creation called Nail Effects. I know, when I first heard it I instantly pictured one of those Argos-esque nail kits with a thousand stickers/gems/etc. Thankfully it is not this. It is quite simply a little tub of black gunk/nail polish. All you have to do is apply a pretty colour on your nails (I think nice brights or pretty pastels will look fab with this - nothing too dark as you want a 'wow' effect), wait for it to dry, and then apply ONE coat of this little bottle of magic over the top. It states on the instructions not to overlap, but it's okay to be a little haphazard as it's part of the look. Then sit back, and watch as within seconds (I'm talking literally about 2 seconds after application) the magic begins to happen. The polish literally starts to crack and dissolve in places, leaving you with a really cool (very Minx-esque) crackly nail effect. If you don't believe me, just look at this amazingness....

To create this look I used MUA candy pink (shade 12) with Nail Effects over the top!

I absolutely adore this product. I have never seen anything like it before and definitely recommend it to anyone who loves to experiment with their nails, but perhaps doesn't have the time to put the effort in. These nails are so easy to create and dry as quickly as Barry M's usually polishes. The Barry M Instant Nail Effects retails at £3.49 (or 2 for £5 at Boots!) and there is currently only the crackle effect available, but I really hope they bring some more out soon!

What do you think of Barry M Instant Nail Effects? Have to tried it yet?
