Living for the (Bank Holiday) Weekend

Wednesday, 8 May 2013

I haven't done a lifestyle-y type-post in a while, so this one is well overdue. As you're probably aware, last weekend was a Bank Holiday - the best kind of weekend - and not only that, it was a scorcher too. If there are two things that make me happy, it's weekends and hot weather. So, as you can imagine, I had a pretty good weekend.

Me and my boyfriend had a jam-packed weekend; we went shopping and sightseeing, watched the beautiful sunset one night and couldn't resist taking some snaps, spent lots of time chilling in the garden with Rory, had a BBQ and explored the woods whilst getting some pretty shocking sunburn. It was a glorious weekend and lots of icecream was eaten, summer tunes were played and lots of walking in the sunshine was done. I love weekends like this - I swear sunshine makes everything a million times better.

What this weekend made me realise is that there are so many secret hideaways on your doorstep where you can get some pretty beautiful snaps. I don't claim to be any sort of photographer, but my boyfriend is pretty nifty with a camera and I'm so impressed with how some of the pics he took turned out, I just had to share them with you. We spotted the beautiful horse whilst on the way home from shopping, and I had to stop the car to pop out and say hello. It looks like a unicorn, right?! Then on the drive home we stopped to watch the sunset, which was seriously beautiful and such a nice thing to do with the weather as it is. The next day we explored the woods and had a BBQ (which was amazing, veggie BBQs FTW) and I got to debut my Primark floral pinafore. Totally love it although I've decided pinafore playsuits are a bit of a pain, but I love it so I can forgive it for that.

Did you have a good Bank Holiday in the sunshine? Let me know what you got up to!
