Spring Nail Shades

I am obsessed with Spring nail colours. Don't get me wrong, Autumn/Winter nails are fun and everything, but there is just nothing better than Spring pastels and Summer brights. I am a Spring/Summer girl at heart; both S/S fashion and beauty get my heart fluttering more than anything wintry ever could, so I thought it only right to do a little round-up of some of my current fave Spring nail colours.

Models Own Beth's Blue: Whereas most lilac polishes tend to be that same, pale lily-verging on pink hue, Beth's Blue is a beautifully unique lilac-blue shade, which screams Parma Violets and looks totally delicious on the nails, especially with a summer tan. I always go back to this shade when rummaging through my polishes for a lilac; you just can't beat this beautiful bluebell.

Bourjois Sunny Sunday: This new yellow shade from Bourjois is a seriously summery, mango yellow that is an absolute dream to apply. It comes with a really thick, high-quality brush which makes application a pleasure and the finish is seriously shiny and glossy - it gives such an amazing gel-like effect. Definitely love this polish for brightening up my talons!

Models Own Jade Stone: Although I am a huge fan of minty green polishes, this jade hue from Models Own is always a winner during the Spring months. It's a really gorgeous muted jade green, that lasts brilliantly, as I find with all Models Own polishes. It's one of my most-loved polishes and I especially love using it to make the leaves when I'm doing floral nail art, as it's the perfect middle-of-the-road green.

Revlon Sea Shell: Spring wouldn't be complete without a creamy coral shade to add to the mix. This new shade from Revlon isn't the easiest to apply, but once a fair few coats are on the finish is divine. I love how it is a true coral-pink that is totally reminiscent of seashells at the beach. Really love this shade.

Estee Lauder Narcissist: I gushed about this nail lacquer a little while ago when reviewing the Heavy Petals collection, and I'm still seriously addicted to the shade Narcissist in particular. I think this shade is the definition of a Spring nail shade - it is a sickly sweet candy pink - the best kind of pink.

Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream: I don't think a nail polish line-up would be complete without an offering from Barry M, so I just had to sneak this Blueberry Ice Cream shade in there for good measure. I love all of Barry M's 'Ice Cream' polishes, but this simple sky blue is totally understated and pretty. I particularly like wearing it with stripes or polkadots added in white for a more nautical feel.
