Six months ago today I said goodbye my best friend

Six months ago today I said goodbye my best friend in the whole world. My baby, my soul dog, my Rory 💔

I know everyone says it about their dog but honestly Rory was just the best little boy in the whole world. I got him when I was 19, he was with me throughout my entire twenties and early thirties and was just such a constant ray of sunshine through the highs and the lows. He was my whole world and I feel so lucky that I got to spend almost 15 years with him by my side.

It’s been the hardest six months of my life without my boy. I’ve never known a grief like this and it’s taken me way longer than it should to get this post up, but weirdly it felt comforting having a place where maybe it seemed like Rory was still around… but I know lots of people loved little Rory dog and so I wanted to share this.

Rory, you were the best dog a girl could dream of and you made me so incredibly happy, every single day. Now you’re not here my heart is completely shattered - it feels like a piece of my soul died with you. I miss you so much and there isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think about you. I can only hope one day I get to see you again, smell your stinky head and let you lick my tears away. I’ll love you forever and ever, my little sunshine boy ☀️ 🌈

I was recently given the opportunity to try out a film camera from @notquitenorth_ - a new film lab and shop opening soon in Lincoln, and I just got the scans back. I am absolutely in love with the moments captured this month of all the festivities leading up to Christmas 🎅🏼

I’m so excited about the shop opening - finally a decent place in Lincoln to get filmed developed 📸🎞️
