Keeping Rory Healthy with Broadreach Nature – AD

This post is an advertised collaboration with Broadreach Nature but all thoughts are my own (and Rory’s!).
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll have been introduced to my beloved little bundle of fur, Rory, before. I’ve had him since the very beginning, way back in 2010, and so he’s been with me on my blogging journey every step of the way.
Rory’s health resolutions
When a new year comes around, lots of us start to look at our own health and make resolutions, but I also think about Rory’s and how I can help him have a super healthy year. This year he’s turning 12(!!!) and I can’t quite believe it. It’s a little scary, and while he is still just as full of energy and love as the first day I brought him home, I know he’s getting on in years and so I need to prioritise his health and wellbeing more than ever.
When Broadreach Nature got in touch about Rory trying some of their supplements, I jumped at the chance. While he is still a healthy little boy, he does suffer with quite bad arthritis in his front legs, and has had some skin issues in the past, so I was happy to try some of their products and see if they helped.

Trying Broadreach Nature supplements
Rory was sent the Omega EFA Advanced Oil and Joint Care Advanced for Small Dogs to try. The Omega Oil is a natural fish flavour (which Rory loves) which I simply pop half a teaspoon of on his food twice a day. It’s a concentrated, extra strength formula which helps support skin, coat, joints and heart. He’s been wolfing it down with his dinner daily – so it’s definitely a hit in terms of tastiness. I’ve also noticed he hasn’t been suffering with as many dry patches on his skin as he usually does, so I think it’s definitely working its magic.
The Joint Care Advanced comes in capsule-form, so you can either give it to your dog directly or sprinkle it on their food. Rory has never been a fan of taking tablets so I sprinkle it on his food which works for us. It contains high levels of glucosamine and chondroitin (which are vital for supporting joints), along with turmeric, which some believe has anti-inflammatory properties. It also has hyaluronic acid to help cushion the joints, and vitamin C and E to help maintain long-term mobility. So far this year Rory hasn’t had any arthritis flare-ups, which is great.
I think supplements like this are so important to help support the health of our pets, and I love that Broadreach Nature products are natural and made with the help of vets, nutritionists and pet specialists. Rory has been loving the taste of these supplements and knowing that they are helping with his overall health means such a lot to me. I also love that Broadreach is committed to supporting the environment – they generate their own electricity using solar and have planted 400 trees so far to show their commitment. I definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking for supplements for your pet – they have supplements for cats, rabbits and guinea pigs too!
